Does your internet marketing campaign suck?
You really need to ask yourself that question every once in awhile. It is a hard question to ask about your internet marketing campaign, but it is also essential.
I am not really a big fan of the word ’suck’. I just don’t like it. In fact, I use it very rarely and only under the most extreme conditions. It is sort of my way of saying that I hate something. So, when you ask yourself if your internet marketing campaign sucks, it must really be in the uttermost depths of the gutter.
Internet Marketing Advertising Campaign Must Do Something!
I am approached everyday by people who are looking to finally see some sort of success from their advertising campaigns. Most of these people have been suffering through advertising campaigns that haven’t done anything for several years! Yes, that’s right! Several years!!!
They have done everything that all the big names have said to do. Article marketing, solo email ads, landing pages, PPC campaigns, free ebooks, PLR packages, blogs, and on and on. The only thing that they have ever gotten from any of it is an empty bank account, upset spouses, and financial distress. But, they continued to persevere hoping that their advertising campaign will finally do something!
Can I be perfectly candid? Sometimes when I get really honest with people they don’t like what they are going to hear. Most of the time that anger leads to decisions. Other times, it just leads to more bad decisions. I am hoping that my candid honesty will lead you to make some decisions.
Is your current advertising campaign doing anything? What I mean by this is simply this; Is your advertising making, or costing you money?
If it is costing you, it sucks.
Your Internet Marketing Advertising Campaign Is Multi Faceted
I want to follow that last question with one more.
What does your current campaign look like? OR Are your advertising materials any good?
This is where people get mad. They have spent a lot of time putting together some ads, a landing page, some articles, and spent money on Pay Per Click. However, their articles are horrible, you can’t understand the landing page, and the PPC ads are poorly worded. If they have written them themselves, or worse paid to have them done for them, people get very defensive.
I can understand that. However, there is also a reality. You can really like your work – or the work that you paid for – but it isn’t going to be working.
You internet marketing campaign must be multi faceted. There are several different parts to a campaign. All the materials listed, plus a lot of others, are to work together to create unity, message, and brand that people can relate to. But, if the advertising materials are poorly written, or used together, your internet marketing campaign will…. well, suck.
Be Honest With Yourself
Internet marketing, trying to earn money on the Internet, affiliate marketing, selling a service, or being a world renowned coach, or infopublisher – whatever it is you are trying to do on the Internet requires one very important trait.
Be Honest With Yourself!
If your advertising is not working, if the materials do not perform the way you need them to, then face up to the fact that your internet marketing campaign just might suck.
