Monday Morning Thoughts

I have been doing a lot of thinking. And at times I look pretty much like my buddy over here on the left.

However, I do believe that getting what’s inside on the outside is one of the first steps in being successful at whatever it is you do. I recently began writing down my thoughts into posts with the goal of maybe helping others think through things and perhaps even give ideas.

This past week has been pretty hectic. A lot going on away from my online world. But, I did find time to sit down and download some thoughts. Here’s what I’m thinking about today…

I’m getting into the writing mood. I think I’m going to start outlining a few books I’d like to launch in a few months. Not sure if they will be “courses” or just ebooks. Will think about it some more.

Twitter is a great tool, but I think that it can be easily turned into another spam tool.

Want to develop a blog network. Starting to research and put things into motion about grouping all blogs together and finding other bloggers to share workload. I think I’ll start with Steven Snell’s post on 10 Reasons to Build Your Network

Also thinking very strongly about hiring other writers/advertisers to build a much stronger ad management service. Have never done this before but with the amount of work I have to turn away it might be worth it.

On a personal note, I’m getting ready to go on a weekend hiking/camping trip with my son. Can’t wait for it. We’re going to walk around and camp on a nearby “mountain” that overlooks a lake.

Wrote this down in my journal… “Advertising is most effective when you have passion and knowledge of both the product/service and the targeted audience.”
